The Law Office of

John K. White, Jr. PLLC

Real Estate Closings

Whether you are buying, selling, or refinancing, we want the closing process to be as easy and stress free for you as possible.  Our practice focuses on real estate closings and we handle residential and commercial property transactions.  We work with first-time home buyers, experienced real estate investors, private lenders and everyone in between.

Our office works hard to make every closing a positive experience for our clients.  Attorney White gives every client and every transaction his personal attention from receiving the sales contract through the closing.  He and our team of experienced paralegals are available to answer questions, solve problems, and reassure clients that their transaction is as important to us as it is to them.  We are here to help you navigate the process.

We handle real estate transactions for property located in Buncombe County, Henderson County, and Madison County. This includes Asheville, Arden, Biltmore Forest, Black Mountain, Candler, Enka, Fairview, Flat Rock, Fletcher, Hendersonville, Marshall, Mars Hill, Mills River, Montford, Montreat, Swannanoa, Weaverville, West Asheville, Woodfin, and surrounding communities.

About Our Team

Attorney John K. White, Jr.

John is an Asheville native.  After attending high school at T.C. Roberson, he studied political science and economics at Duke University.  In 2002, John graduated from Duke with distinction in political science. Following college, John attended law school at Columbia University in New York.  During law school, John participated in Columbia's Small Business/Non-Profit Clinic, learning to help entrepreneurs and community advocates start their own businesses and charities.  He also volunteered with the Unemployment Action Center representing unemployment insurance claimants who had been wrongly denied benefits.

After law school, John practiced for almost seven years as a litigation associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, LLP.  During his last two years at Milbank Tweed, John focused on litigating and mediating disputes over complex derivatives transactions in the context of the In re Lehman Brothers bankruptcy case.

After returning home to Asheville to start his own practice, John decided to focus on real estate rather than pursuing a litigation practice.  Although John is always focused on achieving the best results possible for his clients, real estate transactions have the potential to meet every party's needs and for everyone to leave the closing table happy and satisfied.  In his real estate practice, John seeks to find the best solutions for his clients by acting as a counselor at law who takes the time to truly understand his clients' needs and concerns, and who fosters long-term professional relationships with clients.

During Law School, Aaron was a member of the American University Law Review. After graduating law school Aaron returned home to Buncombe County to practice. In addition to his work with our office, Aaron volunteers with Pisgah Legal Services and enjoys historical European fencing.

Aaron joined John’s practice in July 2023 and focuses on real estate closings and other real property matters.
